Richard Cooking

In his single days Richard would rely on a restaurant in his building to cater his dinner parties. Under some pressure from his friends to do his own cooking he finally decided to cook a leg of lamb. Like a sensible fellow he asked advice from his mother who told him to cook it for 15 minutes a pound, to start his gas oven at temperature 8 and then to turn it down to half that for the rest of the time. Misunderstanding, he turned it to 1/2. The result - raw lamb and another dinner catered by the restaurant.. Happy days remembered with great affection.
